The place of its origin is the central region of India. Guar gum is water-soluble natural polysaccharide obtained from endosperm of guar beans, legume plant. Consisting of 18 kinds of amino acids, Guar gum provides natural viscosity. Due to its water-soluble and high viscosity natures, it is often used for food additives such as thickeners.
Guar gum is said to have efficacies and effects to improve detoxification, and prevents blood sugar elevation, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure, cancers, and constipation.
